Pole Sports competition judging is an ever evolving process and the rules can sometimes be frustrating and difficult to understand. As a newly founded competitive sport, we are striving to unify our regulations, but there are currently numerous judging parameters to navigate across many different competitions. In any competition, it is imperative to know and understand the regulations and expectations in order to produce a successful program (or routine) for that specific competition. We can help you to identify, understand and utilize the rules of your specific competition to produce a successful and winning program.
Pole Sports has long been pursuing recognition as an official sport, and on July 23, 2014, the International Pole Sports Federation (IPSF) was recognized by both the Federation of International Gymnastics and the SportAccord as the governing body of Pole. This now allows Pole Sports the ability to become a recognized international federation, an official sport, and become a non-Olympic sport (a necessary step before becoming an official Olympic sport, and is the pool from which new Olympic sports are selected). This process has opened the door for Pole to become an official Olympic sport as the IPSF submits its initial application for International Olympic Committee Recognition in 2016.
