POWER POLE® GROUP CLASSES

Welcome to Power Pole® Group Classes! Here you will find everything you need to know about joining us for group training from first timer all the way to elite in your Pole journey! We welcome all levels with open arms. We have classes covering every skill level, all you need is your enthusiasm and energy!

Power Pole® offers all levels Pole Dance, Pole Fitness and Pole Sport classes. We start with fun filled beginner group classes with a maximum of 6 students on 4 poles. This means that as a beginner, you may sometimes share a pole. We find this essential in building team work and comradery as well as instrumental in building strength in intervals during your first classes. Once you have mastered our Beginner Series, you will move to what is called a Small Group Select Series (for all classes Intermediate and up) where we offer essentially Semi Private Small Group Classes (4 person maximum on 4 poles) so as to provide the maximum in individual attention for go at exactly your own pace progress. This series also allows for extra attention in any areas that you as a student need it, more skills and tricks training, and superior spotting, which will all help you to reach your highest potential most efficiently. Intimate class settings make for low pressure, high potential learning. Our innovative Small Group Select Series is designed for maximum progress as a result of high quality individual attention.

To get you started, please read each class description carefully to be sure you are signing up for the proper class level. You will also find a description of the Power Pole® Levels here or in the side bar. If you have questions or doubts, please feel free to contact us for proper placement.

Next, be sure to dress comfortably in athletic attire. Shorts and a tank top or sports bra is recommended. Pole Sports consists of many leveraged tricks and wherever your skin touches, you will grip well. Wherever your clothing makes contact with the pole, you will slide. You are certainly welcome to wear leggings or layered workout attire, however, be sure to bring shorts in case you would like to change. The Power Pole® Sports Training System is taught in bare feet, however, you may bring protective training gear as you see fit.

Also, prior to entering class, you should remove your jewelry. Wearing rings, watches, bracelets and even anklets, will impede your grip and may also cause damage to the pole and/or your jewelry. Also important, refrain from wearing lotion as it will spread quickly on the pole and will drastically impede your grip.

Please arrive on time (which is generally considered at least 5 minutes before your class begins) as a courtesy to your fellow students and your instructor, and maintain a polite and positive attitude with your instructor and other students. It is Power Pole's intention to provide a safe and supportive training atmosphere and hostility or negativity toward others will not be tolerated. Power Pole® is meant to be a purely positive experience.

Please note that anyone arriving 10 minutes or more after class begins will not be permitted in that class as a proper full warm up is essential to avoid injury, and disruption to other students who do arrive on time is not permitted. We thank you for understanding.

If you have any questions whatsoever, please feel free to contact us here or via email at info@powerpolesports.com.

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Introduction to Pole. All first timers and beginners start here.

(Prerequisite to Beginner Level One Pole Power Pole® series.)

This class is a mandatory prerequisite for first timers and beginners to Power Pole® classes. We know that pole can be intimidating. We've heard time and time again that our students wanted to try pole for such a long time, but had to build up the courage. Well, if you are a beginner, start here with no fear! This class is taught by Kriston Leagh, the founder of Power Pole®, and is specifically designed to comfortably introduce you and welcome you to pole!

Intro to Power Pole® is ground zero for proper pole training and is designed to familiarize you with pole, give you the fundamentals of pole and your very first pole moves so that you are prepared for Level One Power Pole®. Here we will begin to teach the proper form and technique that you will build your entire skill set on.

This class consists of the basic walk, standard grip, introductory forward spins, and basic introductory transitions, all set in an incredibly fun, supportive, inviting, and non-intimidating environment so you can ease your way into pole. We'll welcome you to the studio, introduce you to other beginners starting their pole journey as well, get you familiar with the equipment and the room, and teach you studio etiquette as well as pole lingo and the names of your new tricks, spins, and grips. After class, you'll have time to take videos and pictures if you'd like to share the start of your pole journey. We'll even help you pose!

In this class, we'll get you comfortable with everything about beginner pole while helping you to master the proper pole basics, as well as strengthen your body and grip for pole so you can comfortably and confidently move to Level One Beginner Power Pole®.

Each class in this series will start with a fun beginners warm up to firm, sculpt, and strengthen your body, as well as beginners flexibility training.
